- Our Story -

It all began in 1947 with one man and a dream.

-

Louie Bucatini was born in Northern Italy with an apron on and already a desire to make the land's finest pasta. Rumor has it that his first word was actually "Pa-Ta." His mother, Maria was a single parent who raised her children in the kitchen. Louie, one of 3 brothers took to the kitchen faster than any of the other Bucatinis.

During his adolescence Louie would make homemade favorites like raviolis, croquettes  and legendary cannolis. He was able to open his first stand when we was  just 15 and from there his customer base continued to grow. The demand for his food reached far and wide and in 1965 Louie opened his first full-service restaurant. After meeting the love of his live, Annabelle, they decided to move to Maine.

Like a fish out of water, Louie knew one thing. Cooking. Later that year, Louie's Lasagna opened its doors and keeps the hearts warm with traditional Northern Italian cuisine.
